Friday, September 4, 2026 / Author: Mushk (Age 24) / Location: Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 4, Karachi I survived the Friday rush! I woke up panicking that we would miss the morning cutoff, but I managed to get Laiba to the main gate with just two minutes to spare. Watching her run inside before the guards locked the entrance threshold was a relief. It hits me randomly how close she is to turning 16 next month on October 1st. Even though she's practically a young adult, seeing her navigate the pressure of Senior 2 makes me protective. The early 12:30 PM dismissal was a blessing today. When she walked out of the school gates, she looked so relieved to have that Pakistan Studies history quiz behind her. I grabbed some food on the way back to celebrate making it through the school week. Now she has the whole weekend to rest before the senior campus routine starts all over again on Monday.
