Saturday July 25, 2026 - 9:06 PM The rain outside hasn't stopped, and honestly, neither has the noise in my own head. Watching the news today is completely overwhelming. Between the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela and the absolute chaos the monsoon is causing right here at home, it feels like the world is just bruising everywhere all at once. Lahore is literally drowning under record rainfall, and Karachi as usual is sitting on the edge of a total blackout the moment the sky opens up. It’s hard not to feel a heavy wave of anxiety when you see entire communities displaced and families losing everything overnight. Acting and working in the creative space usually gives me an escape, but on days like today, the reality outside the window is impossible to ignore. It makes you realize how fragile everything is. I’m trying to channel that heavy energy into gratitude for my own safety and focusing on what I can actually control. Right now, that means staying grounded, keeping my loved ones close, and checking in on friends who are navigating the flooded streets. Tomorrow is a new day. For tonight, I’m just listening to the rain and praying for some stillness for the city, and for myself.
