Well I definitely agree that you are still your parent’s child, no matter what you decide for yourself or how they treat you. Your mother should be a better role model for you during such a difficult time, but clearly she is not. She lied, and is now trying to manipulate you. You should have the freedom to choose for yourself, even if that means not wearing a hijab anymore. If you feel comfortable and wish to explore not having it on, then that should be all the reasons you need, not others opinions. Your identity can only be defined by you, and it doesn’t matter what others think, because they will think it regardless of what you do. So choose to make yourself happy
