Is it weird that my father tries to "out-fan" me in everything? Like everytime i like something he suddenly likes that thing waaaaay more than i do and tries to prove it every chance he sees. For example, a new jurassic world movie was released a few days ago and I, as a big fan of both jurassic park and world, went to the cinema to watch it on wednesday. Since then, my father (who has only seen like two of the six, now seven, movies) has been making references and talking about the movies as if he was the biggest fan. I usually ignore him because we already have a bad relationship, but this time it just pissed me off more than normally. I know he does it to try to connect with me but, after all the things he has done to me, the last thing i want is to have anything in common with him
